International Sound Like A Pirate Day — 19th September 2008
This auspicious day went highly noted at the café, giving John the opportunity to replay one of his favourite jokes and many bad pirate pick up lines … with special thanks to Pirate Dave who made a memorable guest appearance in full pirate regalia complete with flintlock pistol and gold dubloons to the delight of all who attended

Eco friendly drinking straws
Blast from the past ....who says they dont do things like the good old days? Remember paper straws, they're back and here at cafe splat. Much better for the environment and wont choke the fishes or pelicans.
